Used for lifting the wax caps of honey frames before extracting honey. I like to use an uncapping knife (or electric) but in places where the wax is below the edge of the wooden frame a honey fork is useful for lifting the wax in those low areas.
Varroa Mite Detection: It is now required for Bio Security purposes to check for varroa mite twice a year (spring & Autumn). In Victoria a sugar shake or alcohol wash PLUS drone uncapping is required. The Honey Fork doubles for this use.
Plastic handle with stainless steel fork.
