These frames are useful in any bee colony as they allow you to have more control over where the bees make drone comb. i.e. help keep the worker comb clean of patches of drone comb. This video from Bob Binnie helps to explain the use where varroa mite are present but also the benefits in using in any colony.

These frames are also being used to help in the control of Varroa Mite. Varroa Mite prefer drone brood to worker brood due to the longer hatching cycle of drones to workers….i.e. giving mites time to lay more eggs. Remember this process is time critical.  Made in Australia.
