Inner Cover – 8 Frame (hot wax dipped for long life)

Useful on hives that have space in the lid above the frames (most wooden style hives) the inner cover helps to keep the hive warmer by sitting between the box and the hive lid. Very useful particularly in winter months to decrease heat loss.

It also prevents bees from building comb in the hive lid. Depending on the season, this particular top cover has an opening that can be adjusted for the season and can also allow bees to access pollen or syrup if needing to be fed.
